Tlhookomela Mashile
Tlhookomela Mashile, the author of The Poet’s Dream, was born in Sabie.

His interest in literature began he was 11. He started compiling lyrical content into poetry, until he could produce his own work.

In 2013, he relocated to Johannesburg to study law at the Vaal University of Technology. Exposed to poetry, he started performing at various events, such as the Jerry K poetry session in Newtown, and created a name for himself as “Survival The-Poet”. He worked alongside poet Taelo Motholo and film director Jerry Kaposa.

Tlhookomelo’s work has been published in various publications, such as Joy Magazine, Coinage Books, Contè Magazine and Poetry Potion.
