Nikki Meyer
Nikki Meyer was born in South Africa in 1968 while her father, a banker, was stationed in Swaziland. She spent her first eight years of life residing in Swaziland, then moved to South Africa with her family. She grew up in Scottburgh on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.

After working in a bank, then a hotel, Nikki studied public relations with an view to establishing a corporate career, but on a whim took a job in Botswana working at a game lodge. This was her first real bush experience, and shaped the rest of her life. She is married to a conservationist and they have one son, Martin. Nikki and her husband, Gerrit, have lived in the Kruger National Park since 1992 and share a passion for wildlife.

Game for Anything, Nikki’s first book tells the story of her move to the bush and all the adjustments and adventures that this entailed.  Her second book Rhino Walking Safari:  Stories of a Kruger Park Family continues this story with tales of floods, fires and delinquent staff.

Nikki sees the funny side of life while coping with disaster and bringing her son up in a very natural but somewhat unusual environment.
